We had a conflict to resolve selecting our acronym. The village's senior center uses YSSC so we want to avoid stepping on the toes of their excellent establishment. Playing with different combinations, we landed on YeS. That seemed fun enough but lacked identity. Then, Amy suggested an emoticon. She said, "I haven't seen businesses do this yet but people on social media are using emoticons in their call signs all the time now. It will be a thing any minute." So now it's our thing!
