Work as purpose driven play
Work can be a slog. Sometimes though we get the feeling things are clicking. Elusive pieces fall suddenly & neatly into place. How does that happen? And can we get it to happen more often?!? Here is why we love play. Play shows us that the work of childhood is learning... venturing out into our world and observing ourselves in open ended inquiry. Play is a transcendent kind of work. It facilitates change and development. Why? Because it is improvational & nurturing. We learn to cope with disorder. We sustain growth in purpose driven activities. We evolve and transcend self assigned mechanizations taking lessons from our elders and reshaping them for our time, our place, and our truest selves.
